What an exciting week!! On Friday Sunny started walking. She was totally excited to hear us all cheering and clapping her on. So much so was Erin that the very next day she too started walking. A day apart, how sweet. I like their style too because the day after this momentous occasion my girls turned 16months. I can officially say they were both walking by 15months (even at a stretch!!)
This morning started off like any other, got all 3 girls upstairs and was talking to Erin about getting her bottle of milk.
Claudia goes "that's Sunny mum" pointing to the little one dressed in blue pj’s that I talking to and then points to her other sister in red pj's and said, "and that's Erin!"
I said, "No love, That's Erin in the blue pj's and that's Sunny in red!" (they're always in the same pj's)
"No Mum" she was defiant and kept repeating "That's Erin (red) and that's Sunny !(blue)"
I started to get a little annoyed at having to explain it to her so I pulled "Erin" over in the blue pj's and said "Look, here is Erin's birthmar...." I couldn't finish the sentence because I was indeed holding Sunny! Erin has a small, light birthmark on her right leg and it was not there because it was Sunny in my arms.
How could I have done this?
I dressed them both last night and granted it was a mad evening, but I couldn’t believe that I had done something that “new” multiple mums live in fear of…mixing up their children.
But I don’t need to to do that anymore, or so I thought! So to all of you who have tried to tell me they're Identical...I'm listening now!
I tried to extract from Claudia just HOW she knew who was who. But her 3 year old verbal skills couldn’t articulate…she talked about their pj’s colour and at one stage Erin’s hair, but then she went off into goobooldi gok talk!
And a short time ago Claudia could not be trusted to tell you exactly who was who. My, how the times have changed! Well done Claudia!!
